Our Story

Born and raised in the rugby heartland of Northern Transvaal, Tjokkie van der Merwe played provincial rugby for Northern Transvaal—known today as the Blue Bulls—during the golden era of the 1970s and 80s, featuring alongside legends such as Naas Botha and Thys Lourens. His provincial career extended into representing Natal (now known as the Sharks) in Currie Cup competition during that era’s exciting growth phase.

Through that journey, Tjokkie developed an authentic connection to the vintage playing kit—the fabric, designs, and stories behind each jersey.
